The story
Między Mostami, at Księcia Witolda 1/L1 in Wrocław, is a modern Polish restaurant led by chef Łukasz Budzik. It earned a Gault&Millau score of 15.5 for 2026. The cooking is built around a tasting menu, and the room sits on the Odra between the Pomorski and Uniwersytecki bridges.
Budzik draws on Polish family cooking and the kitchens of his grandmothers, then tests those roots against technique learned abroad. He worked at Arzak in San Sebastián and Guy Savoy in Paris, and later cooked at Prime in Doha. The menu changes with the seasons and relies on local produce of high quality.
The printed format lists seven courses, but in practice nine dishes reach the table, from amuse-bouche to petits fours. Dishes that have appeared include herring with pickled cucumber salad, chicken liver pâté, and beef sweetbreads in tempura. Duck with morels stuffed with liver pâté and steamed halibut also feature, along with pierogi reworked as a refined classic. Dessert is Babcia Jasia's nuts.
Art Deco lines with a postmodern touch shape the room, finished in chalk white and sand tones, oak, stone, metal and glass. A glass-walled open kitchen sits at the centre, and the windows look out over the city after dark. The long bar near the entrance serves cocktails, non-alcoholic options and wine pairings. A smaller tasting room at the back suits private dinners, and the space is also available for business meetings and family events on Sundays and Wednesdays.
