The story
IDA kuchnia i wino is a small Polish restaurant at ul. Łazienna 4 in Wrocław, recognised with a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
The menu is seasonal and takes classic Polish cuisine in a modern direction. One dish worth trying is goose stomachs with potato foam and a note of truffle. Portions are generous. Head chef Małgorzata previously worked at Core by Clare Smyth, and Rafał, who ran the kitchen at Zamek Topacz, also spent time with Gordon Ramsay.
The short card keeps to a handful of Polish dishes, from kopytka and pierogi to the house żurek. Guests often single out the desserts and the tartare. Vegetarian options are on the menu. The wine list leans on Old World bottles from France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Austria, with a separate section for Polish wines.
Raw red brick walls and large windows give the dining room plenty of daylight, and the kitchen is open to the floor. Gault&Millau scored IDA 11 in 2026, with a note on its interior and atmosphere. The building once housed Rura, a well-known jazz club. Today the restaurant sits near the Contemporary Theatre, so many tables are booked before or after a performance. A private room is available for small gatherings.
