The story
la p'tite maison, at Rue de Chandolin 52 in Savièse near Sion, is a modern cuisine restaurant with room for only fifteen guests. Gault&Millau scored it 14 points in 2026.
Margaux Chapuis cooks one menu a month, kept secret until you sit down. It runs to five courses: amuse-bouche, starter, fish, meat and dessert, at CHF 95. A cheese plate costs CHF 14 extra. The cooking follows the seasons, is made entirely in house and puts the product first. There is no vegetarian version, and allergies should be mentioned when booking.
Gault&Millau's inspector began with bread and basil butter, then raw and cooked radish with hazelnuts. Asparagus came with thin-sliced mushrooms in a lemon verbena sauce. Sole was filled with wild garlic and set on raw fennel. The lamb appeared twice, roasted with oriental spices and minced inside chard and mint. Rhubarb with mint-yoghurt ice cream closed the meal. The menu changes monthly, so treat this as a sample of the style.
Jeremy, Margaux's husband, runs the dining room and the wine list, which has many open crus. The couple met in 2013 and opened in 2021 at Saint-Pierre-de-Clages before moving to the village of Chandolin. Capping the room at fifteen keeps it intimate. Michelin also listed it as Recommended in 2026.
