The story
Kasteel TerWorm, in Heerlen, Netherlands, is a French restaurant at Terworm 5, 6411 RV Heerlen. Gault&Millau awarded it 14 points in 2026, and the dining rooms sit inside a castle with a courtyard and a moat.
Chef Dave Beckers cooks a French-based menu, with a small à la carte selection alongside multi-course tasting menus. Recent courses reviewed by Lekker500 included beef tartare with smoked fish roe and potato crisps, and lamb on Beluga lentils with Limburg white asparagus. The meal finished with pickled rhubarb, chantilly cream and white chocolate ganache.
The castle restaurant is spread across several classically decorated salons, with chandeliers and paneled ceilings. On warm days the terrace overlooks a large pond. The castle also has hotel rooms and suites, so many diners are staying guests.
