A house from 1555

The restaurant occupies one of the oldest buildings on the west side of the Goes old harbour, behind a late-Gothic facade. A town fire in 1554 destroyed most of the Turfkade, and only the cellars survived. Number 11 was rebuilt almost at once, and keystones inside carry the year 1555.
