The story
Ron Gastrobar Indonesia Ouderkerk, at Amstelzijde 51 in Amsterdam, runs an Indonesian kitchen that earned a Gault&Millau score of 13.5 in 2026. The restaurant has a covered garden behind the building and a terrace along the Amstel, where the Indonesian street food suits an aperitif.
Chef Guillaume develops new dishes with the house and is the one to ask what to order. His favourite is the sate kambing, where juicy goat meat meets the characteristic flavour of ketjap sauce.
The menu offers two rijsttafel formats alongside à la carte dishes such as langoustine with peteh beans and a vegetarian tahu telor with peanut sauce. Five satés are available singly or as a Satasting. Michelin lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026.
