The story
Yi Jiang Nan, at Zoniënwoudlaan 359 in Brussels, is a Chinese restaurant serving Asian and fusion dishes. It earned a Gault&Millau score of 12 in 2026 and a Michelin Recommended listing the same year.
The chef comes from a family of respected Chinese cooks and has deepened those teachings over time. Everything is prepared to order from fresh produce of the day, so the menu shifts with the seasons and with what suppliers have available.
Traditional Chinese plates sit alongside Asian dishes developed with the Thai chef Akhen. The wine list leans French, Spanish and Italian. The dining room has patterned wallpaper and a lounge feel, and a small back garden with large white hydrangeas adjoins it.
