The story

Le Chalet de la Forêt in Brussels: Modern French Cooking With Two Michelin Stars

Le Chalet de la Forêt is a modern French restaurant at Drève de Lorraine 43 in Uccle, Brussels, where chef Pascal Devalkeneer has held two Michelin stars (2026).

Fire, bread and the garden

The kitchen lights its wood every day at midday, and bread is baked on site. Market gardening, grilling, salting and smoking are also done in the building. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 17.5 in 2026 and noted that Devalkeneer has shaped its cooking for more than 25 years.

A vegetable garden on the edge of the forest

The 1,156 m² garden grows herbs, wild flowers, lamb's salad, watercress and spinach alongside plum, mirabelle and apple trees. Lunch is offered from 90 euros for three courses, and the Forêt menu runs to four or five courses, served for the whole table.
