The story
Pandeli serves Turkish cooking at Rüstempaşa Mahallesi, Balık Pazarı Kapısı Sokağı No:1/2, Mısır Çarşısı İçi 1 D:2, Eminönü/Fatih, inside Istanbul's Spice Bazaar. The Michelin Guide awarded it a Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
Gault&Millau scored Pandeli 12.5 in 2026. The guide points to a menu that runs from grilled eggplant salad to sea bass baked in paper. Freshness and long-standing recipes shape the kitchen's approach, which keeps the restaurant tied to Istanbul's culinary memory.
According to its own account, Pandeli opened in 1901 to show the flavors of this land. The dining room is lined with blue tiles, and the restaurant says many well-known guests have sat at its tables over the decades. Service is at the table, with air conditioning, and the restaurant also hosts private parties and catering.
