The story
Tershane is a Turkish grill restaurant on the 8th floor of Hotel Momento, at Tersane Caddesi No:24 in Karaköy, Istanbul. It was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality, good value cooking.
Chef Vedat Başaran leads the kitchen, which Gault&Millau scored 12.5 in 2026. The guide describes a restaurant that restates Turkish cuisine in a contemporary voice. Kebabs cooked over live mangal fire and carefully prepared grills take the main role. Guests return for içli köfte, muhammara, yaprak ciğer and Kilis Kebabı, and the restaurant's own pages put mezzes and kebab grills at the center of the menu.
Tershane calls itself a fine dining restaurant, with a bright, colourful interior. From the upper floor, the windows look toward the Bosphorus, Galata Tower, Hagia Sophia and Topkapı Palace. Outdoor seating and air conditioning are both listed.
