The story
Le Patio is a French restaurant at Boulevard Helvétique 19 in Genève, listed as Recommended by the Michelin Guide in 2026. The address has been known to Genevans for generations and carries the imprint of chef Philippe Chevrier.
Rodolphe Estiot-Braud has led the kitchen since 2013, working under Chevrier. Gault&Millau awarded 13 points in 2026 and noted that he has moved away from the surf and turf concept toward classic bistro cooking. Its examples include cooked mackerel with citrus and a pea and ricotta tartlet, and a "perfect egg" with morels, asparagus and croûtons.
The guide singles out a rich veal cordon bleu filled with truffle brie and ham. It ends with a Paris-Brest of caramelized pecans and coffee cream. The restaurant's own menu looks further afield, with lemongrass-scented lobster and frog legs wrapped in garlic butter mousse. The French kitchen here takes in several influences.
Historic arcades and exposed stone give the dining room its character. A private room seats 2 to 11 guests. Alexia Chenevard runs the service and advises on wine, drawing on Geneva growers and Burgundy producers.
