The story
Là-Haut, at Rue du Village 21 in Genève, serves Mediterranean-inspired brasserie cooking and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026. The inspectors describe it as good quality, good value cooking.
Julien Ostertag runs the kitchen, and Gault&Millau gave it 14 points in 2026. The guide describes a cosy dining room and a terrace above Lake Geneva, set among vineyards. Morgane Ostertag, the patronne, guides guests through the wine list with evident charm.
Gault&Millau praised a focaccia with red bean hummus and a very fresh sea bass carpaccio with Amalfi lemon vinaigrette and Greek fish roe. Ricotta ravioli come in a poularde emulsion over cima di rapa. The main course reworks beef fillet Wellington, with seared foie gras and spinach alongside a hearty jus. Dessert is a chocolate variation with grilled hazelnuts, fior di latte ice cream and berry reduction.
Lunch follows a short, changing card. A recent version offered grilled avocado with tomato vinaigrette, lime and coriander, and roast beef with salsa verde, parmesan and polenta fries. Prices were 23 for the plat du jour, 38 for two courses and 46 for the full menu.
