The story
Da Vinci, a French restaurant in Roermond, sits at Havenstraat 27 in Maasbracht, on the Meuse, and holds one Michelin star (2026).
Chef Margo Reuten leads the kitchen, and the restaurant describes her as the only female SVH Master Chef in the Netherlands with a Michelin star. Her French cooking draws on contemporary and regional influences. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 16.5 in 2026, and its review credits Reuten and her partner Petro Kools with a warm welcome that has lasted for decades.
Recent reviews describe mackerel tartare with snap pea ice and yuzu foam, and turbot served with asparagus, lobster and hollandaise. Veal fillet with sweetbreads and a cep or porcini sauce appears often, and so does a raspberry dessert with vanilla, yogurt and sorbet. Vegetarian guests can order a separate plant-based menu, with dishes such as celery root ravioli with truffle.
The dining room spreads over two floors, with a glass wall that lets guests see into the open kitchen. Margo's paintings hang on the walls, and the tables are dressed with crystal and orchids. Petro Kools, a master host and sommelier, oversees a wine list that puts Limburg bottles in the spotlight. Guests can also order a wine pairing alongside the tasting menu.
