The story
Krone Schlier, at Eibeschstraße 2 in Schlier near Ravensburg, runs a contemporary French kitchen built around the seasons. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 3.5 Kochlöffel for 2026.
Chef Benedikt Geßler cooks a six-course menu, which the Schlemmer Atlas describes as hours of pure enjoyment in an inviting room. He and Andreia Geßler run the house together as a family business. The restaurant reopens on 5 June 2026 after restoration work, and cooking classes are planned from July.
Vegetables, fruit and fish come from less than 75 kilometers away, preferably organic. The eggs are from the family's own chickens, some of the meat comes from their own hunting, and four beehives supply honey. This approach earned the kitchen a 2026 GreenSpoon from the Schlemmer Atlas.
