The story
Hubertusstube is the restaurant of Hotel Oberwiesenhof at Freudenstädter Str. 60 in Seewald, Germany, serving Badische cuisine in the northern Black Forest. The Schlemmer Atlas 2026 awarded it two Kochlöffel, singling out venison backstrap from local game and homemade Black Forest cake.
The kitchen was fully refurbished in 2011, and the owner cooks himself. The à la carte menu offers a choice of regional dishes. Guests often order roasted venison with cranberry crêpes, a dish the hotel names as one of its favourites.
Kitchen parties begin with sparkling wine and an appetizer in the kitchen, then move to the winter garden restaurant for the menu. On Saturdays, the hotel serves a set menu with a starter buffet.
