The story
Nußbaumerin is an Austrian restaurant at Leibnizstraße 55 in Berlin's 10629 district, and its kitchen earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good-quality, good-value cooking. The restaurant has welcomed guests since 2008, not far from the Kurfürstendamm.
Johanna Nußbaumer's team cooks from traditional recipes from the Nußbaumer family. They also reinterpret Austrian classics, keeping the core dishes recognisable. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded the restaurant 2 Kochlöffel in 2026 and noted that all the classics of the Alpine region are served fresh.
The Original Wiener Schnitzel comes with a warm potato and cucumber salad. The Tafelspitz is served in a terrine with root vegetables, grated horseradish, horseradish sauce and roast potatoes. Dessert includes Kaiserschmarrn with rum raisins and plum compote, and Marillenknödel with sweet buttered breadcrumbs.
The dining room has thirteen tables. The Green Salon can be booked for private events, and the service and kitchen team stays with the group through the evening. The wine list focuses on Austrian bottles, with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling among the house styles.
