The story
Vlass is a family-run fine dining restaurant at Leopoldlaan 246 in Middelkerke, a stone's throw from the sea dike. Gault&Millau rated it 14 in 2026.
Chef Elien Verhulst cooks alongside her father-in-law Stefaan, and the two follow the seasons with fresh, local produce. Michelin also lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. Kenzo, the sommelier, keeps a cellar of familiar and lesser-known bottles and suggests a wine for each course.
Tineke welcomes guests into a warm interior with chic accents, where white linen covers the tables and the mood stays relaxed. The dining room has a limited number of seats, which keeps it intimate. Private dining and wine evenings are also on offer.
