The story
Restaurant Michel, at rue Arthur Mahaux 3 in Boninne just outside Namur, cooks classic cuisine that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2026 for good quality and good value. The kitchen works in the traditional register, with a menu and set menus broad enough that guests often want to try everything.
Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 13 points in 2026 and praised its unhurried, unfashionable approach. The house-made duck liver terrine, served with Maitrank, a sharp confit and a homemade accompaniment, is the dish the guide calls a must. Thierry Dellisse prepares the dishes, and the menu leans on the kind of cooking that rewards patience.
Jeaninne and Thierry Dellisse welcome guests to a dining room with warm tones and air conditioning. When the weather allows, the terrace opens for meals. A separate reception room seats 20 to 60 people for family or business gatherings, and the restaurant offers children's menus and a private car park.
