The story
Brasserie Bristol is a French-inspired brasserie at Zeedijk 291 in Heist, part of Knokke-Heist, and carries a Michelin Recommended listing for 2026. The logo says "anno 1927".
The menu is adjusted every month to what the market offers, on the logic that the right product in the right season simply tastes better. Gault&Millau gave the brasserie 14 points in 2026 and points to classic dishes that are all homemade. At lunch, the suggestions have included Bouchot mussels with tomato, celery and a lovage coulis.
Starters have run to a baby lobster (350 g) cooked on the plancha with white butter sauce and chive-green herbs, and a tuna tonnato built on red tuna carpaccio. Among the mains are grilled Iberico pluma with peaches, almonds, goat cheese and curry oil, and pan-fried young turbot with sea aster and a mussel sauce.
