The story
La Fermette, in Dinant, serves modern French cooking at rue du Château-Ferme 30, Falaën, and holds a Michelin Bib Gourmand (2026) for good quality, good value cooking. Sarah Bohet and Michaël Vancraeynest run the restaurant in an old stone house in the centre of Falaën.
The kitchen works with an open hearth and a wood grill. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 13.5 for 2026, and its review credits Michaël Vancraeynest, who has run the farm for more than twenty years, with a cooking style rooted in the terroir of the Molignée valley. Grilled rib-eye with béarnaise and spiced potatoes shows the fire at work on the menu.
The seasonal menu is served in three to six courses, priced from 49 to 87 euros according to the website, which notes that prices may shift with the market. Recent dishes include green asparagus from the Ferme de la Couture with wasabi cress and maltaise sauce, and veal fillet with piperade and chorizo. The meal ends with meringue, granny apple and kiwi, white chocolate and mascarpone chantilly. The restaurant lists dietary accommodations, and an allergen list is available on request.
