The story

Sans Cravate in Brugge: French Restaurant with a Michelin Star (2026)

Sans Cravate is a French restaurant at Langestraat 159 in Brugge, and it holds one Michelin star (2026). The kitchen run by chef Henk van Oudenhove and hostess Véronique Bogaert has also earned a 16.5 from Gault&Millau for 2026.

Familiar dishes, cooked differently

Henk van Oudenhove serves well-known dishes in a contemporary way. Gault&Millau singles out his spit-roasted plates as original and precisely mastered. The restaurant says it cooks without frills and lets the taste of each ingredient come through.

A wine list built on curiosity

The wine list is a point of pride here. At the Star Wine List of the Year awards in Rotterdam in 2025, Sans Cravate took five prizes, including a gold star for Best Long List. Judges praised the Loire Chenin Blanc selection. Guests can pair wine with their meal, and wine boxes are available from the webshop.
