The story
Dôme, at Grotehondstraat 2 in Antwerp, is a French brasserie that Gault&Millau scored 14 points for 2026. The restaurant now operates as Brasserie du Dôme, serving lunch and dinner in the building's historic rotunda.
Frédéric and Evangeline Chabbert run the restaurant, the same owners as before the brasserie took its current name. The cooking is unfussy and rooted in classic technique, with modern methods used where they help. The team cooks with fresh produce only, so the menu changes when an ingredient is unavailable. Menu orders close at 13:15 for lunch and 20:30 for dinner.
The brasserie occupies the rotunda of the Dôme building, completed in 1893. The website describes a space of clinking glasses and familiar, timeless dishes. Private rooms, outdoor seating and catering are also available, and Wine Spectator gave the restaurant its Best of Award of Excellence in 2020.
