The story
Cora Pearl is a modern British restaurant at 30 Henrietta Street in Covent Garden, London, and it earned a Michelin Recommended rating in 2026. The kitchen serves comforting bistro plates in a historic townhouse a short walk from the Royal Opera House.
Head chef Charlie Shaw cooks a menu that changes with the seasons and draws on British produce. Diners might begin with a ham and cheese toastie with walnut pickle, or a salad of endives, walnuts, Stilton and pear. The chips are the house signature. They are cooked and pressed for 24 hours, cut into oblongs and dunked in the deep-fryer, a method the Good Food Guide singled out for praise.
Velvet upholstery, dark green tones and varnished woodwork give the dining room its decadent feel. The restaurant holds two AA Rosettes for 2026. Sunday lunch runs from noon to 3:30pm with a jazz soundundtrack, Yorkshire puddings and Bloody Marys. The lunch and pre-theatre set menu offers two courses for £35 or three for £38.
FACT-BOOK NOTE: The HARD EVIDENCE section was sparse, so the article stays short and uses two sections. The Michelin rating is taken from the trophies list. The AA Rosettes and Good Food Guide references are used as supporting recognition. Prices are omitted from the menu excerpts because the currency was inconsistent, apart from the set menu price given in pounds.
