The story
Sunset Grill & Bar in Istanbul serves International cuisine at Kuruçeşme Mahallesi, Yol Sokak No:2, Ulus/Beşiktaş, and holds 14.5 points from Gault&Millau for 2026. The restaurant has operated in Ulus Park since 1994.
The kitchen began with grill-centred California flavours and now draws on Japanese, Mediterranean and Turkish traditions. Executive Chef Marios Tsouris leads the cooking, applying modern techniques to each plate. Sunset introduced the sushi bar concept to Turkey in 1999, and the bar still counts among Istanbul's leading sushi addresses.
Tables on the terrace sit high above the Bosphorus, with views over the city. The wine cellar has been part of the house since 2004, and the Michelin Guide lists the restaurant as Recommended for 2026. Before dinner the bar pours aperitifs, and afterwards it offers digestifs.
