The story
Ulus 29 sits inside Ulus Park at Ahmet Adnan Saygun Caddesi No:71/1 in Istanbul, where its Turkish and Mediterranean kitchen earned a Michelin Guide Recommended listing in 2026. The Bosphorus is part of the setting.
Chef Fırat Yakut combines traditional Turkish cooking with fine technique and modern presentation. Gault&Millau awarded the restaurant 12.5 in 2026. The à la carte menu moves from cold and hot starters through soups, salads, seafood, meats and desserts, and includes cocktails made for 29.
The restaurant has operated in the corner of Ulus Park since 1983. Its dining room looks out over the Bosphorus. Private parties are available for groups of 30 or more, and smaller requests go through the restaurant directly.
