The story
Izaka Terrace sits on the rooftop of the CVK Park Bosphorus Hotel at Gümüşsuyu Mahallesi, İnönü Cad. No:8, Istanbul. Its Turkish and European kitchen scored 12 in the 2026 Gault&Millau guide.
Head Chef Serhat Eliçora runs the kitchen on a principle of minimal intervention. Fire and a stone oven do much of the work, and the menu is built around sharing. Gault&Millau describes a style that draws on Far Eastern technique, Anatolian produce, French discipline and Aegean olive oil. The team buys from local producers at the seasonal peak, and each month one ingredient gets its own short menu.
The guide singles out the "Deniz Tacı", a set of flat breads, and Nikkei plates with a Japanese-Peruvian lean. Kebabs get an original treatment here, which makes this a contemporary Istanbul kitchen rather than a conventional grill. Starters are kept light, and the seafood plates aim for purity over richness.
The restaurant carries on the legacy of Park Restaurant, once a fashionable address on the terrace of the old Park Hotel. Tables look over the Bosphorus. A separate bar menu and wine menu sit beside the à la carte, and the wine list holds a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence (2025).
