The story
Bianchi at Limmatquai 82 in Zürich is an Italian seafood restaurant that Gault&Millau rated 14 points in 2026. It is a joint venture of the Bianchi and Bindella families, and it also appears in the Michelin Guide as a Recommended address.
Fresh fish and shellfish arrive daily. The grill covers king prawns, scampi, lobster and scallops, and the catch of the day is shown in a display case, then grilled and served with a spicy herb sauce. Gault&Millau singles out the lukewarm lobster salad with red onion, celery, cherry tomatoes and Pommery mustard sauce as a Bianchi classic. Tuna tartare on avocado and seared scallops with a tuna-tomato sauce also earn praise.
Luigi D'Agostino leads the kitchen and learned the Italian craft in his home country. He points to crab tartare and linguine all'astice (lobster linguine) as signatures. Pan-fried sea bass with Venere rice, spinach and mustard sauce shows how the Italian kitchen here leans on seafood. Spaghetti alle vongole is on the menu too, though the inspectors found the tomato sauce too dominant on their visit.
The restaurant describes its setting on the Limmatquai as inviting and cosy. João Jordão manages the floor, and Gault&Millau calls the service seamlessly coordinated and the wine list exquisitely curated. Desserts stay with Italian classics, from tiramisu to cassata.
