The story
Tre Terre, at via Vecchia Stazione 2 in Ponte Brolla, Locarno, is an Italian and Mediterranean restaurant that earned 14 points from Gault&Millau in 2026, and a Michelin Recommended mention the same year. Chef Marco Meneganti's menu moves between grotto classics and fresh fish.
The menu keeps a grotto section with rabbit and ossobuco, the dishes Gault&Millau sees as the house's comfort side. Meneganti also cooks fish with care. The list includes salmon tartare marinated in citrus with avocado mousse, wild prawns in passion fruit sauce over asparagus salad, and baby turbot in a lightly sweet curry sauce with mango and melon.
Guests can sit outside at stone tables on the terrace, while the dining room stays warm and elegant. The famous saffron risotto comes with marinated Mistkratzerli, and the meal ends with tarte Tatin and vanilla ice cream.
