The story
Osteria dell'Enoteca stands at Contrada Maggiore 24 in Locarno, Switzerland, where the kitchen serves seasonal Mediterranean dishes and holds one Michelin star (2026). The restaurant sits in the Ticino village of Losone, a few minutes from Locarno, inside a 19th-century Ticinese house.
Jacopo Rovetini leads the kitchen, which the restaurant describes as essential and contemporary. Dishes follow the season, and Mediterranean influences give them their character. Diners can choose a five-course or seven-course tasting menu, or a two-course business lunch on weekdays.
The Gault&Millau review praised a saffron risotto with a perfectly loose texture, finished with pecorino and small rounds of chorizo. Seared scallops came with a restrained curry sauce. A guinea fowl roulade was served with beetroot purée and honey sauce. During Easter, the kitchen served kid goat in several cuts, with the liver softened by amarena cherries.
The dining room occupies the old house, and the restaurant has a garden and outdoor seating. Owners Heike and Giuseppe guide guests through the wine list, which pairs Ticino wines with bottles from Italy, Spain and France. The enoteca also hosts aperitivo for small groups of up to eight.
