The story
La Grappe d'Or serves Italian-leaning cooking at Cheneau de Bourg 3 in Lausanne, and the Michelin Guide listed it as Recommended in 2026. Gault&Millau describes it as a Lausanne institution in the old town, with a nostalgic, easygoing room.
Chef Théotime Bioret writes a weekly set of lunch suggestions that lean Italian with French touches. One week pairs tagliolini in cuttlefish ink and lobster bisque with grilled octopus. Another offers tagliatelle in sage butter with grilled pancetta and pecorino romano. Gault&Millau awarded 14 points in 2026 and singled out a venison carpaccio with mustard, herbs and a shallot-port jus. It also praised agnolotti filled with beef or veal in the Piedmontese manner.
Past reviews mention a tender pork chop in Jack Daniels pepper sauce with polenta. Austrian venison noisette from the grill comes with sauce grand veneur and spätzli. For dessert there is Paris-Milan, a play on Paris-Brest with praline cream, Piedmont hazelnuts and amaretti.
The wine list is a draw in its own right. The cellar holds more than 6,000 bottles from Switzerland (Lavaux, Valais, Ticino), Italy (Piedmont, Tuscany) and France (Burgundy, Bordeaux). Gault&Millau points to the Italian Grand Crus in particular. A private room seats groups of 10 to 24, and the restaurant also offers wine pairing.
