The story
Concordia sits at Haltingerstrasse 11 in Basel, where the kitchen serves vegetarian fine dining built around shared plates. Gault&Millau awarded it 14 points in 2026, and Michelin lists it as Recommended that year. The room keeps a neighbourhood tavern feel, with champagne on the list and a tasting menu that stays firmly on vegetables.
Chef Till Szabó has cooked vegetarian food since early in his career. He trained at Andreas Caminada's IGNIV, where he picked up the idea of sharing dishes at the table. The tasting menu runs to as many as 17 courses, from the amuse-bouche to the petits fours. At lunch, smaller versions start at 32 CHF.
Reviewers have singled out the grilled lettuce with egg yolk cream and a parmesan beurre blanc, along with ravioli filled with sheep's cheese and spinach and finished with caramelised walnuts. The aubergine comes with ezme, dukkah, harissa and a celeriac espuma. Dessert often features rhubarb with magnolia and quinoa. Wine pairings can be ordered, and most bottles are poured by the glass from three glasses onward.
