The story
Uma sits at Mallorca 275 in Barcelona's Eixample, where a creative Catalan haute cuisine kitchen cooks for one tasting menu at a time. The Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended (2026), and the kitchen is fully open to the dining room.
Iker Erauzkin, a Basque chef trained in Paris, leads the kitchen. He has more than 25 years in the trade and has written over a dozen cookbooks. The cooking is product-led and draws on Mediterranean garden produce, with a contemporary approach to tradition.
Every guest receives the same surprise menu, and the whole table starts at once. Uma offers three versions: Essence, a shorter route through signature dishes, Classic, a seasonal tasting, and Grand Gourmet, a more personalised, higher-end version. Sommelier Anna Yébenes selects the wine list and suggests pairings.
