The story
Artesse, at ul. Św. Jana 15 in Kraków, is a fine dining restaurant with a Polish and European kitchen, and Gault&Millau gave it 14 points for 2026. It sits inside the H15 Luxury Palace hotel, in the courtyard of the former Lubomirski Palace.
The kitchen rebuilds and reinterprets Polish and European flavours in a fine dining format. The card changes with the seasons and with the produce available at each point in the year. The tasting menu is split into chapters with intriguing names. One of them, "Kopalnia Soli w Wieliczce" (the Wieliczka Salt Mine), brings marinated mackerel, a chilled fermented tomato soup, beetroot with herring, and a trout and beef tartare.
Historic features and contemporary design share the dining room. Natural fabrics, mirrors and plenty of daylight define the space during the day, and warm lighting makes it cosy in the evening. Michelin lists Artesse as Recommended for 2026.
The restaurant offers a wine pairing alongside the tasting menu. Gault&Millau suggests it as the way to complete the meal.
