The story
Harry's sits at Wycker Brugstraat 2 in Maastricht's Wyck district, a French brasserie with a lively open kitchen that Gault&Millau scored 14 points in 2026. The restaurant belongs to the Beaumont hotel family and serves seasonal brasserie cooking from breakfast through dinner.
Executive chef Frank van Thiel leads the kitchen, and the open kitchen runs seven days a week. The menu changes weekly and follows the harvest from the restaurant's own vegetable and fruit garden in the Jekerdal valley on the southern edge of the city. Diners can start with oysters, charcuterie and snacks, then move through medium-sized dishes meant for sharing.
Gault&Millau singled out a sauerkraut croquette and a fried parmesan soufflé with anchovy and rouille. The Limousin entrecôte from Kusters Butcher arrives with béarnaise, fries and smoked savoy cabbage. Harry's Specials add larger main courses to the menu, and the Lekker500 guide's 2026 entry notes that the desserts are the weakest course.
High ceilings, large modern chandeliers and white linen tables give the dining room a city-brasserie feel. The wine list holds more than 400 bottles with a strong focus on the Old World, and head sommelier Elias Batta oversees it. Seasonal cocktails and house-made sodas are available at the bar, which takes walk-in guests all day. The terrace opens in the summer months, and private dining rooms suit larger groups.
