The story
De Treeswijkhoeve, at Valkenswaardseweg 14 in Eindhoven, is a modern Dutch restaurant that holds two Michelin stars (2026). It occupies a soft white farmhouse backed by the Waalre woods.
Chef Dick Middelweerd and his wife, hostess Anne-Laura, run the place together. The kitchen works with vegetables and flowers from its own garden and with products from local suppliers. Dick visits tables himself to talk guests through the menu. Gault&Millau scored the restaurant 17.5 in 2026, praising a kitchen where quality of ingredients and balance of flavor are simply a given.
Guests choose from three menus, one of them a substantial vegetarian menu of six or seven courses. Recent reviews describe North Sea crab in five preparations, from a horseradish broth to a crumble of ground crab shells. Roe deer arrives roasted saignant under a pistachio crust, with soft goat cheese from Heeze. Dinner ends with friandises alongside the coffee.
The dining room is sleek and comfortable, but on a fine day the terrace and the garden behind the house are the places to ask for. Sommelier Randy Brouwer joined the team in late 2024 and guides pairings from a long wine list. The French and Mediterranean influences in the cooking sit comfortably with Brabant produce.
