The story
Entrepot serves modern International cooking from a former warehouse at Entrepotdok 7-8 in Amsterdam, and Gault&Millau awarded it 13.5 points in 2026. Vegetables lead the menu, much of the cooking happens over open flame, and the room still keeps a billiard table from the building's earlier life.
The menu changes with what the kitchen can source from the Netherlands, with vegetables at the centre and fish or game alongside. Guests can choose a four- or five-course menu or order larger portions à la carte. One recent review singled out barbecued leek with koji emulsion, radish and Sichuan oil, which tastes earthy and fresh at once.
Venison arrives roasted and tender, set on a silky Jerusalem artichoke purée with spinach and a rich port sauce. Beetroot with beurre blanc is another standout, which one Dutch critic called monumental for something so simple. Dessert is a tartelette with Dutch citrus marmalade and sweet potato ice cream.
Wooden beams and metal bracing remain from the warehouse, with an open kitchen at the back and a long bar at the front. A billiard table near the entrance nods to the building's past as a billiard hall. The wine list leans toward France, Italy, Germany and Austria, and many bottles are available by the glass. Dietary needs such as vegetarian, plant-based, gluten-free or lactose-free can be accommodated if flagged in advance.
