The story
Alba is a seasonal kitchen and natural wine bar at Wibautstraat 105H in Amsterdam, and it holds a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand for good quality, good value cooking. Its large terrace gets sun from early morning until late evening, and the dining room keeps high tables for a glass at the bar.
The kitchen cooks with seasonal produce and rotates its three- or four-course menu as ingredients change. Guests who prefer to choose can order every dish à la carte, or hand the chef free rein with the surprise chef's menu. Gault&Millau gave Alba 13.5 in 2026, and its review singles out kohlrabi ravioli with veal tartare among the opening courses.
The terrace is the room to pick when the weather is good. Indoors there is space for groups, a quiet table for two, and the high tables at the bar. The wine list favours natural wines made with few additions, poured by the glass with a growing selection by the bottle.
