The story
L'aube is a French restaurant in Tokyo, on the first floor of the Ark Hills Sengokuyama Mori Tower at 1-9-10 Roppongi, Minato-ku. Gault&Millau gave it a score of 16 in 2026, and the Michelin Guide lists it as Recommended for the same year.
The name is French for dawn, chosen to signal a beginning. Chef Imahashi opened the restaurant in 2016 and reaches ten years in June 2026. The French kitchen works with Japanese producers, and a recent lunch menu ran from bonito with beetroot to Hokkaido Eniwa Rosso pork with peas.
Pastry chef Hirase has a strong place on the menu. A July 2026 course, Menu Concerto, gives dinner guests two savory plates and five desserts. The dining room seats 24, and a private room holds eight.
