The story
apothéose is a French restaurant on the 49th floor of Toranomon Hills Station Tower, 2-6-2 Toranomon, Minato-ku, Tokyo. The Michelin Guide Tokyo 2026 kept it at one star, the same rating it received the year before, and the kitchen builds its French cooking around produce from across Japan.
The restaurant describes its aim as expressing Japan's terroir through French cooking. Lesser-known Japanese ingredients meet the techniques of classical French cuisine. Chef Keita Kitamura visits producing regions around the country in person, and the dishes draw on what each place has to offer that season. Gault&Millau gave the restaurant 16.5 for 2026.
Dinner is served as a set course. The Course Dinner menu unique is ¥33,000, the Dinner menu éphémère is ¥24,000, and the Dinner menu nuit étoilée is ¥64,000, all tax included. Drinks are not part of the course price, and a 12% service charge is added separately. The nuit étoilée menu has been offered since January 2026.
