The story
Al Bersagliere is an Italian trattoria at via Dietro Pallone 1 in Verona, steps from the Arena in the historic Filippini quarter. The 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand recognises its good quality, good value cooking.
The kitchen keeps to old Veronese recipes. Baccalà mantecato, whipped salt cod, is a fixed starter, and the bigoli are homemade and served with duck sauce. Risotto all'Amarone is cooked for at least two diners, while pastissada de caval braises horse meat in Amarone wine.
Leo Ramponi, his wife Marina and their son Alessandro have run the trattoria since 1990, according to the ilGolosario guide, which also awarded it a Faccino Radioso in 2026. The wine list holds around 200 labels, mostly Italian. There are private dining rooms and outdoor seating.
