The story
Ristorante Cracco serves modern Italian cooking at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, 20121 Milan, and earned one Michelin star in 2026. The dining rooms sit on the first floor, above a ground-floor café that opens from breakfast onward.
Chef Carlo Cracco keeps one foot in tradition and the other in invention. Some plates surprise, such as fish soup in crust with marinated egg yolk, asparagus and black truffle. Others stay classic, like saffron risotto with grilled bone marrow and a Milanese veal fillet. Sous chef Luca Sacchi is listed on the kitchen team.
A grey-blue boiserie leads into three dining rooms and two private rooms. The Fumoir, styled in Art Deco, has walls covered in moss-green metal thread and offers oysters and spaghetti with caviar. Sala G. Mengoni, on the second floor, is reserved for private events and has few fixed fittings, so it can be arranged to suit each occasion.
The basement cellar is lined with fir glass shelving and red lacquered walls. It holds more than 2,000 labels and over 10,000 bottles, mostly Italian and French, available to buy and to taste. Sommelier Gianluca Sanso oversees the list, which earned the Wine Spectator Grand Award in 2019.
