The story
Ostseelounge is the fine dining restaurant of the Strandhotel Dünenmeer, at Birkenallee 20 in Dierhagen (Ribnitz-Damgarten). It serves a seven-course modern German menu and is listed as Recommended in the Michelin Guide 2026.
Chef Christopher Huhnstock-Kerber cooks with clear structures and a strong sense of craft. He ferments, and he gathers herbs, mushrooms and blossoms himself. Every producer he works with is based in Germany. Der Feinschmecker gave the restaurant 3.5 in 2026, citing dishes such as saddle of venison with fermented spruce shoots and Müritz fish with chive oil.
Sommelière Bettina Huhnstock-Kerber pours the great classics alongside bottles from biodynamic growers. The list gives the seasonal menu room to move between the familiar and the unexpected.
The dining room seats 20 and feels bright and generous. Floor-to-ceiling windows let in plenty of daylight, and the hotel describes views across the dunes to the sea. Outside, the sculptures of Susanne Boerner's new art garden stand in front of the restaurant. Service is friendly and professional.
