The story
Landgasthof zum Müller serves Bavarian cooking at Passauer Straße 16 in Ruderting, in the Passau area of Germany. The Michelin Bib Gourmand it received in 2026 recognises good-quality cooking at good value.
Ingrid Buchner is a hotel and restaurant master, and her husband Markus Buchner is a kitchen and restaurant master, both award-winning in their examinations. Markus also teaches at the state vocational school in Passau. Before returning to Ruderting, he worked in several kitchens, including Restaurant Aubergine under Eckart Witzigmann in Munich. The restaurant describes its kitchen as refined country cooking, regional and seasonal.
The Schlemmer Atlas awards two Kochlöffel for 2026 and describes a family-friendly, cozy country restaurant with clever, down-to-earth dishes. Braised veal with béarnaise sauce, Wiener schnitzel and sea bass fillet appear on the menu, alongside currywurst and sausage salad.
