The story
L99 Restaurant & Weinbar at Lotter Str. 99 in Osnabrück cooks world cuisine in a single format of equally sized plates, and it earned 3 Kochlöffel from the Schlemmer Atlas in 2026. Gina and Lars Keilling run the house, which sits where five streets meet in the Weststadt.
Every dish on the menu is the same size, and there is no main course in the usual sense. Guests order one dish or several, share them across the table, or work through the whole card as a long menu. The list runs from trout ike jime with shiso and furikake to a blue prawn with paella rice espuma, plus a veal Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad. Sourdough breads are baked in house.
The kitchen follows the seasons and draws on the restaurant's own L99 garden, regional producers and long-standing partners further afield. The menu names several of them, among them Hühnermobil Pente, Ziegenhof Wurzeln & Hörner and the Fischzucht Nordhauser Mühle. The garden supplies fruit, vegetables and herbs.
A fresh-keeping system holds 65 rotating wines open. Each guest gets a personal chip card and pours their own measures, so a table can taste widely without committing to a bottle. The list sits beside a drinks card, and dessert ranges from a goat cheese selection with fruit bread to a white peach with pistachio parfait.
