The story
Kesselhaus in Osnabrück serves modern cuisine at Neulandstraße 12, and the restaurant earned one Michelin star in 2026 for its high quality cooking.
Randy de Jong leads the kitchen, which blends creative and international ideas. The menu changes on average every six weeks and follows the seasons, built largely on produce from regional suppliers. Der Feinschmecker gave the restaurant 3.5 in 2026 and praised the tasting menu's classical and international accents.
Recent courses have included loup de mer with mango and hibiscus, skrei with banana and rocket, and venison with mushroom, pointed cabbage and pomegranate. A five-course menu costs €164, six courses cost €179 and seven courses cost €199. A seven-course wine pairing is available for €99, and a shorter Saturday lunch menu is offered at €99.
The dining room is an industrial loft with exposed brick walls, tall divided-light windows and a high ceiling. A solid wood center table stands in the room, and the terrace sits in front of a brick chimney. Thayarni Garthoff leads the front of house with a relaxed, professional manner.
