The story
Amalie Restaurant & Weinbar at Natruper-Tor-Wall 1 in Osnabrück is a modern Austrian kitchen inside the Hotel Remarque. The Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 1.5 Kochlöffel in 2026, and the restaurant pairs that recognition with a wine bar and an in-house wine shop.
Andreas Klatt leads the kitchen, which draws on Austrian cooking and adds seasonal and modern accents. Regional classics appear in reworked form next to dishes of the moment. The tapas selection works as a starter before a full menu or as a simple companion to a glass of wine.
The menu lists a leaf salad with sesame, mango and goat cheese at 10.50 euros, and beef tartare with egg yolk, cucumber, shallots, crispy onions and capers at 14.50 euros. Bouillabaisse provençale with fish, prawns, mussels and saffron costs 28.50 euros, and a vegan buckwheat bowl is also on the list. For dessert, the cappuccino crème brûlée comes with pistachio ice cream and a marzipan wafer.
The Haarlem Bar serves classic cocktails along with whisky, gin and wine, and its happy hour runs Monday to Thursday from 17:00 to 20:00. Piano music fills the room on Friday evenings. Next door, the Enoteca Weinhandel sells the wines poured at the restaurant, and wine expert Anja Klatt leads tastings, including a blind tasting planned for 9 October 2026.
