The story
Das Fetzwerk, at Freibergstraße 21 in Oberstdorf, is an international restaurant with Mediterranean and French influences that earned a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2026, the guide's mark for good cooking at good value. It sits within the Freiberg hotel and serves both lunch and dinner.
The kitchen prepares fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan dishes, and everything is freshly made. Schlemmer Atlas awards the restaurant three spoons for its daily changing five-course menu, which is especially good in summer in the garden. Bowl meals, burgers and shrimp pasta also appear on the menu, according to the guide.
Inside, glass and light fill the room, and the decor is deliberately mixed, with a flowered wallpaper and a Biedermeier sofa in the Schlemmer Atlas description. The indoor space seats about 40 across 16 tables. The sun terrace, open year-round, has 11 tables and about 36 seats, and dogs are welcome after notice.
