The story
Heidehotel Waldhütte is a Westphalian restaurant in Münster, at Im Klatenberg 19 in Telgte. The Schlemmer Atlas 2026 awarded it 2 Kochlöffel. The privately run hotel has a long-standing restaurant that combines regional Westphalian cooking with classic German dishes.
The menu follows Westphalian traditions, and the house still prepares regional specialties with care. Game, mushrooms and asparagus appear on the menu depending on the season. Some of the game comes from the hotel's own hunt. Regional suppliers, many of them long-standing partners, provide the produce. Guests can order a light lunch, a snack, or a multi-course dinner.
The restaurant has a cozy, rustic feel with corners and partitioned nooks for small parties. In summer, the terrace opens onto the park and meadows, where guests can watch the cattle in the paddock. Weddings and larger groups tend to book the Heide-Saal, a room of about 90 square meters for around 35 people.
The hotel has 29 rooms with farmhouse charm, averaging about 22 square meters. Most overlook the park and meadows, and breakfast is included in the room rates.
