The story
Pfistermühle serves modern Bavarian cuisine at Pfisterstraße 4, just off the Platzl in Munich, and is listed as Recommended in the MICHELIN Guide for 2026. The restaurant occupies what it describes as the city's oldest mill building, five minutes on foot from Marienplatz.
Tino Nawrocki leads the kitchen, with a young team that reinterprets older recipes. Everything is made in house, and the produce stays close to home: fish from the Ammersee, Tegernsee hay-milk cheese, pasture-raised veal from Upper Bavaria. The cooking follows the seasons. Every Thursday a Chef's Table offers a five-course menu, with the chef explaining the dishes along the way.
The Schlemmer Atlas awards 2.5 Kochlöffel (2026) and describes guests dining in the restored vault of the ducal mill from 1573. The interior was restored by hand. The historic stone floor stayed, old timber was freshly limed, and felt, burlap and leather became furniture. Even the wine coolers came from a workshop. Guests can sit in the separate Stuben or on the terrace, and the restaurant seats up to 80 people including the terrace.
