The story
Osteria der Katzlmacher is an Italian restaurant at Bräuhausstraße 6 in Munich, and the Schlemmer Atlas awarded it 2,5 Kochlöffel in 2026. The house opened on Kaulbachstrasse in 1983 and has been on Bräuhausstraße since 2006.
The Italian kitchen works with original products and changes its menu daily. Recent dishes include vitello tonnato, spaghetti vongole, tagliatelle with veal ragù, and a sea bass for two, grilled or baked in salt. Pasta and desserts are made in house. Gluten-free products are kept on the menu, and the kitchen accommodates other food intolerances.
Small growers' wines sit beside larger labels in the cellar, and the Schlemmer Atlas notes a champagne selection. Gambero Rosso lists the restaurant with one fork for 2025. Set lunch menus, private parties and larger groups are all part of the offering.
